Federal Tall Case Clock

Impressive in any home this clock features a mahogany case, inlaid with string and oval panels of a darker mahogany and a lighter wood for the stringing creating contrast in the woods.  Bonnet top with pierced fretwork centering three brass ball and spire finials on fluted plinths.  Mid case includes quartered fluted columns ending in brass.  A painted enamel dial with moon  phase, signed "B Willard", circa 1771. referenced in The American Clock Book pg. 45
