Wing Chair

Very fine example of an American Easy (wing) Chair.  Upholstered, with walnut and cherry wood as primary woods.  In the Queen Anne manner, has wonderful examples of pad feet joined by shaped sides and out scrolled conical arms, cushioned seat raised on cabriole legs ending in finely shaped pad.  The legs are joined by turned H-form stretchers.  Overall height 48", width 32", height to top of seat frame 15 1/2".  Origin probably  Newport RI, circa 1755-1760.
